As you can see i have been pretty silent since my last update. I think its a result of the way i work, personally it takes me a while to get off the ground but once i do i feel the need to work solidly till its finished to my own standards. So i can happily announce that the animation is finished, along with the flash website to contain it. Its been hard work but im very happy with the results. I would also like to take this opportunity to direct you to my portfolio website which is also being handed in n monday along with the animation, its going to be hard not tinkering with it after the hand in but a little rest should do me good. hope you like them.

I’ve decided that the interactivity in my animation will come in the form of hidden objects that when clicked on will trigger a download of a wallpaper for the user. The objects will be hidden in the animation, for example a file on the desktop that for a few seconds while on screen becomes a hidden button that the user can click and trigger. The user will be told of these hidden “easter eggs” before the start of the animation and will have 4 opportunities for 4 different wallpapers. This helps add another layer of enjoyment to the animation and will prompt it to be watched several times.

Here is the first page of storyboard i have created for my animation. I decided to do it on the computer as the ability to copy and paste frames helps save alot of time and i can go back and make small changes easily if needed.

Here is my design for my Flash website which will hold my animation and research and essay work towards it, the buttons are the speech bubbles, when clicking the research button the page will slide across to my multiple pages of research that can be seen in the last few posts.

Ive been doing some research for my animation project. Ive decided to keep all the files in a format that can then be used in my final flash website and as such they are all similarly sized and styled.

in order to keep the shading constant when it comes to animating i may need to redraw my characters in several positions, to get use to drawing them i have created a character sheet for the inventively named flash-man.
